Guests can enjoy two restaurants: the hotel restaurant, offering buffet-style breakfasts and dinners, and the à la carte restaurant Zarja, which is based on local and seasonal ingredients.

The offer is complemented by a wine corner, café and lobby bar, a shop featuring local products, and children’s play areas. The reception serves both the hotel and the apartment complex, connecting the entire resort into a seamless and unique experience.

NaturHotel Snovik 4** Superior** is Slovenia’s first sustainable hotel designed according to the Kneipp philosophy of health. It features 72 rooms accommodating up to 199 guests, all oriented towards nature, each with a private balcony and thoughtfully designed to create a feeling of warmth, tranquillity, and home-like comfort.

The hotel also offers a wine corner, café and lobby bar, a shop with local products, and children's play areas. A central reception serves both the hotel and the apartment village, creating a seamless resort experience.

Snovik Congress Centre – Entering the Sustainable MICE Market

As part of the investment, the Snovik Congress Centre has also opened its doors. The main Sebastian Kneipp Hall accommodates up to 286 participants and can be divided into two separate conference rooms. The centre also features a 60-seat meeting room, a spacious networking lobby, exhibition areas, and spaces for accompanying programmes. For smaller business meetings, a 12-seat club room is available.

The centre is designed to host business, professional, cultural, and social events, significantly strengthening Kamnik's conference and event tourism offer with tailor-made solutions for every client.

Slovenia's Most Sustainable Hotel Project

Terme Snovik became the first recipient of the EU Ecolabel in Slovenia back in 2008. NaturHotel Snovik continues this tradition with advanced sustainable technologies, including intelligent room management systems, rainwater harvesting, biomass heating, photovoltaic power generation, and the complete elimination of single-use plastics.

An impressive 84% of the biomass used by the hotel is sourced from local farmers within a five-kilometre radius, representing an outstanding example of the circular economy in practice. Furthermore, 52% of the total investment was dedicated to energy and material efficiency, while 40% of all building materials are natural materials.

Designed Around the Five Pillars of Kneipp

The hotel's architecture and interior design are inspired by Sebastian Kneipp's five pillars of health: water, exercise, nutrition, herbs, and life balance. These principles are reflected throughout the building, both symbolically and physically.

The ground floor flows naturally from the entrance through the lobby, lounge, bar, children's corner and hotel restaurant, which is integrated into a multifunctional hall. Upstairs, guests will find the à la carte restaurant, wine tasting area, club room, and games room. The entire layout has been designed to encourage movement, openness, and a close connection with nature.

A special design feature is the series of Kneipp Columns, symbolically "supporting the house", while the Kneipp Circles at reception introduce guests to the five principles of health upon arrival. The interior also incorporates a natural rock from the nearby Snoviščica Stream, symbolising the importance of water as the defining element of Snovik and creating a direct connection with the surrounding landscape.

Art Inspired by Nature

The hotel bears a distinctive artistic signature through the work of Slovenian visual artist Vita Čepič, who created a collection of five artworks dedicated to the five pillars of the Kneipp philosophy. Each piece represents one pillar—water, herbs, nutrition, movement, and life balance—and is inspired by the landscapes of the Tuhinj Valley.

The artist collected natural pigments from the surroundings of Terme Snovik and the wider valley, giving each artwork an authentic connection to the local environment.

Another remarkable artistic feature is the lime wall installation by artist Andrej Pregl, created in collaboration with architect Ksenija Strnad. Inspired by a stylised tree branch from the nearby forest, the installation forms the backdrop of the à la carte restaurant. Besides its aesthetic value, the lime finish naturally absorbs impurities and contributes to cleaner indoor air.

Architecture That Grows from Nature

The architectural concept of NaturHotel Snovik is based on a carefully prepared project brief by Terme Snovik, defining the hotel as a building that does not intrude upon nature but grows out of it. This vision was realised by Studio Pirš, whose architects designed a building that blends organically into the landscape of the Tuhinj Valley.

The hotel seamlessly connects its exterior appearance with the guest experience inside. All rooms are arranged across four floors within a timber structure, creating a warm, natural atmosphere. Wood is the dominant material throughout both the construction and interior, complemented by exposed reinforced concrete elements that remain untreated, showcasing their natural character. The contrast between raw concrete and warm timber creates a harmonious balance between contemporary architecture and traditional craftsmanship.

The interior draws inspiration from nature, rural life, and local traditions. It combines refined elegance with authenticity, incorporating handcrafted details into walls, furniture, finishes, and decorative elements. Traditional patterns and natural materials have been reinterpreted in a contemporary way, creating a hotel that meets modern luxury standards while preserving the spirit and identity of the Tuhinj Valley.
