MAISTER BREWERY

It all started with home-made feats in brewing beer and testing in the company of friends, which soon got out of control… In 2015, we started brewing contract beer and brewed the first three representatives - GENERAL MAISTER, VEGA and RUSSIAN, and for next year NOORDUNG has already been cooked. 2017 was a watershed year. We opened a brewery in Kamnik with state-of-the-art beer brewing equipment. The first beer in the new brewery was also made - GALLUS, Pils. With the acquisition of two smaller fermenters in 2019, we launched our experimental beer line called PREGL.

BREWERY MALI GRAD

ABOUT THE BREWERY: The first brewery in Kamnik, Mali grad, was created out of a desire for creativity and a passion for beer. All beers are the result of many years of experimentation, continuous improvement and an in-depth understanding of the nature of fermentation and maturation of this ancient drink. Each beer has its own story that will take you on a journey into the world of diverse tastes after the first sip. All of us who work at the Mali grad brewery are deeply committed to our work, and our common goal is to offer beer lovers a quality, tasty, aromatic, diverse, Slovenian kraft beer. ABOUT THE BAR: The Mali grad bar offers everything that our budding brewer can find on his brewing list on its eight taps. It doesn't get fresher!

DOMESTIC BREWERY UNDER MENINA

In the local brewery under Menina, we brew from light, wheat to red and dark beer, to which we have added the aromatic Ale Gozdni mož in the last year. These unfiltered Ale-ferments that ferment in the bottle are made from the highest quality natural ingredients and filled by hand. In doing so, we would especially like to mention that Aurora and Celeia hops are grown at home on our family farm. The combination of these natural ingredients and the water that sprouts on the day below Menina, after being purified in the limestone layers of the subsoil of this beautiful plateau, give Meninac a natural and homely taste.

BARUT BREWING AND BLENDING

Aleš, Luka and Miha met in the laboratory for yeast biotechnology, where they conducted research with various yeasts. Aleš completed a master's degree in brewer's yeast, Luka received his doctorate with the help of wild yeasts in wine, and Miha received his doctorate in the genetics of pathogenic yeasts. Today, they are most fascinated by yeasts of the Brettanomyces species, as they bring something new and potent to fermentation. During the brewing of beer in the garage, they tried and learned many things, including the fact that the water in Kamnik is phenomenal. While searching for a location in Kamnik, they came across an abandoned zone of a former powder magazine. Today, the facility is almost a fully functional laboratory of mixed fermentations with stainless steel and oak barrels.
